Painted from a photo of the tram terminus at Bronte. They ran from the 1910's to 1961, so guessing from the attire that this photo was taken in the late 50's or so. So much of the landscape is still present today - the tram shed, the big tree, the buildings in the background. The original painting found a loving home with the curator of the Transport Museum.
