This work is from an image taken in December 1922 of the first Coogee shark net. Obviously on this day it wasn’t in use. Interesting that it seemed to stop somewhere in the middle of the bay. Later it was attached to Coogee Pier which was built a few years later, but this image is prior to that.
The view is looking north from the rocks in front of the SLSC, and the two roads visible in the distance are Beach Street (right) and Arden Street (left).
