A colour interpretation of the cover of the 8th edition of The Australian Surf Life Saving Handbook. My children have been through the ranks of this iconic Australian phenomenon and it’s impossible to ignore the sense of community and wonderfully positive impact this institution has brought to so many lives, young and old, throughout Australia. I placed the image and text from the magazine onto an imaginary Australian seascape.
